FIAM, the sculptor of light
Since 1973, FIAM Italia has been pushing the boundaries of what is possible with a material once believed to be immutable: glass. To the delight of Pacific Compagnie's discerning customers, under the visionary leadership of Vittorio Livi, glass ceased to be a mere decorative support to become a living material, sculpted, bent, and shaped to embody the essence of Italian design.
This bold dream gave birth to a revolution: the world's first furniture pieces made entirely from curved glass. The famous Ghost armchair by Cini Boeri, monobloc and translucent, or the mythical Ragno table, crafted from a single sheet of glass, became the emblems of a new aesthetic — pure, fluid, timeless.
At FIAM, glass is no longer merely transparent: it expresses, reflects, suggests. Curved, fused, tinted, sandblasted or metallized, it transforms under the hands of master glassmakers into a poetic material, capable of capturing light while evoking gravity. The company embodies what Vittorio Livi calls the "lateral thinking of glass" — a philosophy where technical innovation, artisanal precision, and aesthetic research intertwine in constant dialogue.
Each creation, whether a mirror, console or armchair, is born from this rare balance between architectural rigor and sensory emotion. FIAM doesn't simply produce furniture: it sculpts light, builds breathing spaces, and designs objects that become almost immaterial — as if air itself took form.
In 2023, to celebrate its fiftieth anniversary, the house reaffirmed its vision: to combine sustainability and desire, by exploring recycled glass, creative fusions and innovative textures from its Materials Library.
FIAM remains a laboratory of tangible utopias, where transparency becomes emotion and design, a poetic act. And Pacific Compagnie remains faithful to FIAM!

The Modular Sofa Carrara
The Modular Sofa Carrara embodies the essence of the purest Italian design: a dialogue between sculpture and comfort, between architectural rigor and tactile softness. Inspired by the nobility of Carrara marble from which it takes its name, it evokes the perfection of a block carved from matter, softened by the artisan's hand.
Its taut, refined lines seem drawn by light itself. The elegantly proportioned structure supports deep, plush seating where geometry becomes voluptuousness. Upholstered in full-grain leather or refined fabrics, Carrara reflects the exceptional craftsmanship of Made in Italy, where technical precision meets the sensuality of gesture.
Every detail — stitching, fold, angle — bears witness to a quest for absolute harmony. It's a sofa-sculpture, a manifesto of luxurious sobriety that transcends trends to become timeless.
Carrara doesn't simply occupy a space: it orchestrates it. Through its silent presence, it imposes an elegance that is both powerful and serene, transforming the living room into a gallery, and comfort into art.
Usage: high-end residential sofa, customizable in dimensions and upholstery
Style: contemporary elegance, refined comfort and balanced architectural lines

The Dining Chair Lloyd
The Dining Chair Lloyd is a statement of minimalist elegance, where each line seems designed to capture light. Conceived according to FIAM Italia's philosophy, it marries the purity of glass with the precision of a contemporary structure, creating a seat as airy as it is sculptural.
Its curved glass backrest, the fruit of unique craftsmanship, bends without ever breaking, evoking the grace of a suspended movement. The slender metallic legs extend this impression of lightness, as if the chair defied gravity. Beneath its apparent simplicity lies a technical feat: transparency becomes structure, matter becomes emotion.
Lloyd doesn't simply furnish: it illuminates. Its subtle presence redefines space, bringing to each interior a touch of timeless modernity — a perfect balance between design, art and Italian innovation.
A symbol of FIAM aesthetics, the Dining Chair Lloyd embodies an idea of luxury made of silence, light and mastered perfection.
Materials: solid wood structure (tobacco oak finish or open-pore black lacquer); seat and backrest upholstered in full-grain leather or nubuck.
Characteristics: chair with fully upholstered backrest and seat; natural or lacquered finishes available
Usage: ideal for dining rooms, lounge spaces or high-end residential offices
Style: elegant and contemporary design, combination of solid wood and quality leather

The Coffee Table Lakes
The Coffee Table Lakes is a celebration of light and movement, a work where transparency becomes landscape. Conceived as a play of reflections and depths, it draws inspiration from the shimmering surface of an Italian lake at dawn — calm, changing, infinitely alive.
Composed of three curved glass tops of different sizes and heights, Lakes creates an almost liquid layering effect. Each level captures and refracts light, offering infinite nuances of transparency and clarity. The structure, of absolute lightness, reveals all the mastery of FIAM Italia, pioneer of contemporary glass art.
More than a piece of furniture, Lakes is an architectural composition: a balance between rigor and fluidity, technique and poetry. Each table seems to breathe, dialogue with space, and transform light into living matter.
In the pure FIAM tradition, Lakes transcends design to become a sensory experience — an invitation to contemplate the movement of glass, to inhabit beauty.
Materials: 10mm fused glass top (varnished underneath with metallic tints) or 20mm marble top; varnished metal base (Lava Grey or metallic Champagne finish)
Characteristics: coffee table available in different versions according to top and base finish
Usage: ideal for living rooms and reception areas, in residential or high-end contract version
Style: contemporary and refined design, contrasts between glass, marble and metal with elegant metallic finishes

The Chandelier Pearl
The Chandelier Pearl is an ode to light in its purest form. Inspired by the iridescent glow of a pearl, it translates into glass what nature creates most rarely: a pearly, soft and sensual clarity.
At FIAM Italia, glass becomes living matter — and Pearl is the perfect demonstration of this.
Each globe, hand-blown, contains a subtle, enveloping light that diffuses into space a glow that is both warm and airy. Suspended alone or in composition, these poetic spheres seem to float in the air, like drops of light suspended in time.
The balance between transparency, lightness and artisanal craftsmanship makes Pearl much more than a luminaire: a luminous sculpture, symbol of the dialogue between innovation and emotion.
In the lineage of FIAM's great creations, Pearl captures the eye without ever constraining it — a silent and precious presence, where design becomes pure poetry.
Materials: metal structure with burnished brass finish; outer sphere in transparent blown glass (Ø 30 or 40 cm); inner sphere in Murano opaline white blown glass (Ø 15 cm)
Characteristics: suspension lamp with internal diffuser; LED light source integrated into the structure
Usage: decorative interior lighting, ideal for living rooms, dining rooms or lounge spaces.
Style: elegant and contemporary design, contrast between glass transparency and warmth of brass finish

The Console Waves
The Console Waves is an encounter between glass and movement, between technical mastery and grace of gesture. A true manifesto of FIAM Italia craftsmanship, it captures the instant when matter still seems fluid, as if frozen in the trembling of a wave.
Its curved glass top, fashioned from a single piece, unfolds undulating lines of absolute precision. Light glides over it, reflects, breaks, creating a subtle play of shadows and transparencies. The structure, both airy and solid, embodies the soul of the Italian house: innovation at the service of visual poetry.
Waves evokes the perfection of balance — that of glass tamed without being betrayed, of movement captured without losing its freedom. Each console, hand-crafted, is a unique work: a sculpture of glass and light that transforms space into a moving horizon.
In FIAM tradition, Waves doesn't simply exist: it breathes, it vibrates, it illuminates. It's a signature piece, both silent and spectacular, where technique becomes emotion and transparency, an art.
Materials: 23mm transparent DV-Glass top with colored bands, or 20mm marble top; metal base with opaque Titanium or glossy black Nickel finish
Characteristics: console with top available in glass or marble, paired with an elegant metal base
Usage: suited to refined residential interiors or reception spaces
Style: contemporary and refined design, contrast between colored glass transparency, marble nobility and metal modernity
